ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This is a full gut renovation on the shores of Lake Gaston bordering North Carolina and Virginia. The house was on the brink of falling over, but the land was ample enough for a single-family home and the view was incredible. We took a two bedroom/two bath that was uninhabitable, removed the mold and rotting wood, utilized (and stabilized) the existing poured foundation, added a primary suite with a crawl space under, and transformed the garage into a bunkroom.

We opened up the main living room to add a generous galley kitchen and dining area that take advantage of the lake view. The house now has two king bedrooms with attached baths and a guest/powder bath to service the living area and the bunkroom. The walk-out utility room has all the amenities for fun on the lake and keeps clutter and wet towels at bay.
